Company Drivers

CFI is looking for experienced solo and team company truck drivers.

Average annual income for solo drivers is $64,000 and for team drivers is $121,703 (per team). This pay rate includes base pay, safety bonus and a productivity bonus. *Based on average 2020 W-2 income.

All information is subject to change without notice but is valid to our knowledge at this time.

CFI Pay Range is .38 to .51 CPM Based on Experience and Type of Run

Pre-Qualifications

Minimum Age

  • At least 21 years of age

Minimum Experience (tractor Trailer/OTR)

Experienced Drivers

  • At least 3 months OTR experience in the past 6 months

  • 1 year in the last 3 years with at least 3 months OTR in the past 6 months

Trainees - Not accepting Trainees at this time!

  • Drivers MUST NOT have less than 3 months OTR experience OR at least 1.5 months OTR experience in the past 90 days

  • Will only take a Recent Grad that has graduated within the past 60 days

  • Drivers MUST have at least 160 hour course, training in a sleeper birth truck with at least 32 foot trailer and 40 hours behind the wheel driving

*** Time with Trainer (NOT COUNTING SCHOOL) will count as experience!

*** Local Experience will not count! 

*** Will consider Military Experience with copy of DD2-14

Moving Violations (max in 3 year period)

  • No more than 3 in the past 3 years

Policy on License suspensions

  • Any License Suspension in the last year for Moving Violations is disqualified. Multiple suspension beyond 1 yr MUST be pre approved by management

  • Suspension in the last 12 months for a Moving Violation is a DQ

Accidents

  • No preventable accidents in a private or commercial vehicle in the last 12 months

  • No more than 3 preventable accidents in a private or commercial vehicle in the last 3 years

  • Preventable rear end accidents in a private or commercial vehicle in the last 3 years. 

    • Must have 1 year of safe driving since the accident.

    • Must be pre-approved by management

  • If Driver has had a preventable major DOT accident in a commercial vehicle or an accident in a private vehicle that would have been considered a preventable major DOT accident in a commercial vehicle in the last 3 years, driver must have 1 year of safe over the road driving since the accident. 

Incidents (max in 3 year period)

  • No more than 3 in the past 3 years

Ticket/Accident/Incident Combo

  • One (1) moving violation and one (1) preventable accident in the last twelve months of driving history must be submitted for pre-approval by management

  • No more than a combination of 5 moving violations and accidents in the last 3 years 

Maximum Major Moving Violation (in the last 3 years)

  • No more than 1 moving violation in a private or commercial vehicle in the last 12 months

  • Any moving violation in a private or commercial vehicle involving a fatality (preventable or non-preventable) in a lifetime must be pre-approved by management

Major Moving Violations- that are automatic DQ's

  • No more than 1 “serious” moving violation in a commercial vehicle in the last 3 years

Max. Number of Jobs- in the last 3 years

  • No more than 5 in the past 3 years

Policy Against Unemployment- even if it is accounted for

  • No policy

Terminated Applicants

  • No terminations for Safety in the past 12 months

  • Drivers need 1 year safe Driving since being terminated

  • No terminations for late loads

Felony Convictions - How old must they be?
Based off the conviction date? What are the "silver bullets"?

  • No Felonies in the past 7 years

  • No sexual or drug related

  • All others will be reviewed

  • Preventable DOT or major accidents such as U-Turn, Rollover, Run Under, Lane Change, Jack Knife and Rear End will not qualify if they happened within the past year.

$5000 Sign On Bonus - OTR Solo

  • Breakdown will be discussed with driver.

$20,000 Sign On Bonus - Teams

  • Split between the team

  • $1,000.00 each after first loaded dispatch

  • $3,000.00 each after 60 days

  • $3,000.00 each after 180 days

  • $3,000.00 each after 270 days

  • Team drivers must have the same partner with no break in service

  • Bonus does not apply to Rehires that have previously received a Sign On Bonus

Trainees

  • Trainees go out with a Driver Finisher for 21 days, take a final road evaluation and upgrade to their own truck

Home Time / Days Out 

OTR & Teams

  • Earn one (1) day off for every seven (7) days out

  • An eight day minimum notice is required and the requested date has to be at least 14 days from their last earned time off date

  • We will guarantee a driver home for their requested dates, pending they have the time earned and available

Regional

  • Earn one (1) day off for every seven (7) days out

  • May request home time immediately upon dispatch. Drivers will be headed towards home within 8 days

*** Home time can be banked.  However, if the Driver is off more than 9 days they do have to leave their truck at a terminal.
