Pre-Qualifications

Minimum Age

  • 21 years old

Minimum Experience (tractor Trailer/OTR)

Trainees

  • Driver must have graduated within the past year, from a 160 hour school with at least 40 BTW hours

Experienced Drivers

  • 6 months OTR T/T (40ft trailer or more) in the last 3 years

  • 1 year OTR T/T (40ft trailer or more) in the last 3 years for Lease Purchase

* Training does not count

* Local experience will count for pay, but NOT for experience

* If Driver has less than 1 year of OTR experience, they MUST have attended an accredited trucking school

* They will not accept a Driver under contract if they owe the carrier still and it hasn’t been a year since they signed the contract with them

Moving Violations (max in 3 year period)

  • No more than 2 in the last 3 years

Policy on License suspensions

  • No suspension for more the 30 days in the last 3 years

DOT Recordable Accidents

  • None in the last 12 months

  • Rollovers have to be over 3 years old to consider

Incidents (max in 3 year period)

  • No more than 3 preventable accidents/incidents in the last 3 years

Ticket / Accident / Incident Combo

  • No more than 3 in the last 3 years

Maximum Major Moving Violation (in the last 3 years)

  • Must be approved by safety

*** Nothing over 15 mph in the past 3 yrs

Major Moving Violations- that are automatic DQ's

  • Leaving the scene, racing, reckless or careless, fleeing or eluding, using cell phone while driving. 

* Will consider if outside of 3 years

Max. Number of Jobs- in the last 3 years

  • 8 in the last 3 years 

  • 3 in the last 3 years for Lease Purchase
