CR England Pay Range is .25 to .49 CPM For an Experienced Solo Driver and Type of Run. Teams .30 to .56 CPM / Experienced

Pre-Qualifications

Minimum Age

  • At least 21 years of age

  • Applicants under the age of 23 cannot have more than 1 moving violation within the past 12 months and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 year

Minimum Experience (tractor Trailer/OTR)

TRAINEE (SR's)

  • Drivers with a CDL who don't have recent experience to take a refresher course or get additional training

* On Trainees for Dollar Accounts: If there is a DG mentor available, they train right on the DG account. If there is not one available, they train OTR for 10 days, then go to DG.

 

EXPERIENCED

Must have 6 months experience driving a tractor-trailer in the last 12 months OR as much time on the road for any period, than off the road in the last 10 years:

  • 1 year in the last 2 years

  • 1.5 years in the last 3

  • 2 years in the last 4

  • 2.5 years in the last 5

  • 3 years in the last 6

  • 3.5 years in the last 7

  • 4 years in the last 8

  • 4.5 years in the last 9

  • 5 years in the last 10

Please Note

  • All experience must be verifiable T/T experience with at least a 40 foot trailer

  • Local experience will count, as long as it was in a tractor trailer, longer than 40 feet

  • T/T experience with a 26,001 lb trailer will count 

  • They can only verify the job if the Driver drove TT the whole time

Moving Violations (max in 3 year period)

  • No more than 2 moving violations in the last year or 3 in the last 3 years. 

  • Applicants under 23 years old can't have more than 1 moving violation in the last year or 2 in the past 3 years.

None In the Past 3 Years;

  • No Inattentive Driving Violations

  • No Negligent Driving Violations

  • No Careless/Negligent Driving Violations

None In the Past 5 Years

  • No Reckless Driving Violations

  • No Reckless Driving Violations Reduced To Reckless

  • No Leaving the Scene Of An Accident

Policy on License suspensions

  • They will look at Administrative Suspensions such as child support, failure to pay, failure to appear, etc.

  • No moving violation suspensions in the past 12 months

Accidents

No major preventable accidents in a CMV in the the past 5 years;

  • Any accident with transported injuries

  • Rollover

  • Personal vehicle or company vehicle count. 

No more than 3 preventable accidents in a CMV in the past 3 years

  • Accidents that are listed on the MVR, PSP & Background check need to be reviewed and verified that the accident was not at fault, there were no injuries or it was not a rollover

Incidents (max in 3 year period)

  • Incidents count the same as accidents, follow the above criteria

Ticket / Accident / Incident Combo

  • No more than 3 in the past 3 years

Maximum Major Moving Violation (in the last 3 years)

Major Moving Violations- that are automatic DQ's

Max. Number of Jobs- in the last 3 years

  • No more than 2 Driving jobs in the past year for Drivers with 6 months experience

* All others will be reviewed

Policy Against Unemployment- even if it is accounted for

  • Upon Review

Terminated Applicants

  • Drivers termed from their last 2 Driving jobs will not qualify

  • Drivers termed for theft must have worked at a major carrier for 5 years with stable history

  • Drivers that were termed for safety must have 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience without a preventable accident.

Felony Convictions - How old must they be?
Based off the conviction date? What are the "silver bullets"?

Class A Felonies 

  • Must be 10 years old from the date of arrest/conviction and be reviewed

Class B & C Felonies 

     Must be outside 7 years from the conviction date

* All other charges will be reviewed

* Must be out of prison for at least 5 years

Misdemeanors- How old must they be?
Automatic DQ's?

  • Must be outside of 4 years from the arrest/conviction date

* If applicant is on unsupervised probation we must have a letter from their probation officer stating they can travel outside their state

* All other charges will be reviewed

* Must be out of prison for at least 4 years

DUI/DWI- What is the max number and what
time frames do they need to fall outside of?

  • No DUI's in a Commercial vehicle ever

  • No more than 2 DUI's in a lifetime

  • No DUI's within the past 5 years

  • If 2 DUI's or open containers, the first one must be outside of 10 years

  • No Open Container for passengers in the past 3 years

  • If the driver has more than one DUI then the most recent one has to be outside of 10 years

Is Haz-Mat Required? Is there a grace period for
driver to obtain it?

  • No, hazmat is not required

DOT Physical Requirements

  • Driver MUST have a current DOT Physical

  • They require 75 days left on the med card from show date 

Drug Screening

  • Both Urine & Hair

Other Automatic DQ's.

  • Any major preventable accident with a fatality is a DQ

  • Any illegal use of a controlled substance within the past 91 days is a DQ

  • A failed drug or alcohol screen or a refusal in a lifetime is a DQ
