Pre-Qualifications

Minimum Age

  • At least 23 years of age

Minimum Experience (tractor Trailer/OTR)

  • 6 months of verified OTR traveling in at least 3 states in the past 2 years for company & LP only

  • Frac Sand Drivers - See Frac Sand Tab in information file for Exp Req

* A Driver Operating in the State of TX and sleeping in a Truck is considered OTR and not subject to the 3 State Requirement

Policy on License suspensions

  • No more than 1 suspension, downgrade, withdrawal in the past 3 years

DOT Recordable Accidents

  • See below for notable exceptions

Ticket / Accident / Incident Combo

12 - 17 Months Experience

No more than any combination of two of A, B, or C within the previous 2 years:


A. Moving Violations
B. Unsafe Driving Violations
C. Preventable Accidents

 

18 + Months Experience

No more than two of the same violation listed below within the previous 3 years:


(Example: 2 Moving Violations meet criteria, but 3 Moving Violations do not.)

No more than any combination of three of D, E, or F within the previous 3 years:


(Example: 2 Moving Violations and 1 Preventable Accident meet criteria, but 3 Preventable Accidents do not.)

*** Any At Fault Rollover or Rearend at Fault Accidents are a 5 year DQ

Maximum Major Moving Violation (in the last 3 years)

The following infractions won't be considered IF there are other safety violations in the previous 3 years

 

  • No Careless or Reckless in the last 3 years

  • Improper or Erractic Lane Change in the last 3 years

  • Following too Close in the last 3 years

  • Driving without a CDL or CDLP in the last 3 years

  • Violation of wrong Class of CDL in the Last 3 years

  • Violation of Railroad Crossing in a CMV

Major Moving Violations- that are automatic DQ's

  • Preventable Rollover in the previous 5 years

  • Preventable Rear end collision in the previous 5 years

  • Positive or Refusal of Drug Screen (Lifetime)

  • Abandonment or unauthorized location without notice in the previous 12 months

  • Abandonment or unauthorized location without notice at the previous carrier and no more than 1 in the period being reviewed. 

Max. Number of Jobs- in the last 3 years

  • No more than 10 jobs in the past 3 years

  • For Drivers with 6 months OTR experience, No more than 2 jobs in the past 6 months

Policy Against Unemployment- even if it is accounted for

  • No more than 12 months of unemployment in the last 3 years

Terminated Applicants

  • Any Safety Termination in the previous 12 months is an Automatic DQ

Felony Convictions - How old must they be?
Based off the conviction date? What are the "silver bullets"?

  • No convictions in the past 7 years

  • No Drug convictions in the past 10 years

  • Any charges involving children are a lifetime DQ

  • Drivers will choose from trucks available.

  • Most are less than 2 years old.

* W900 Trucks are NOT and option for New Drivers coming to WFX

Is truck permanently assigned to the driver?

Company Drivers

  • Pedal: 65 mph

  • Cruise: 68 mph

Independent Contractors

  • Pedal: 70 mph

  • Cruise: 73 mph

Sand Drivers

  • Pedal: 70 mph

  • Cruise: 75 mph

Can truck be taken home for time off?

  • Yes

*** Sand Drivers MUST leave the truck in Midlothian. No exceptions!

Is truck equipped with Invertors / APU's?

  • W900’s have an APU and a refrigerator

  • 2019 and below Freightliners have an EPU and no refrigerator

  • 2020 and above do have refrigerators but not an EPU

  • They have a bunk heater, plus they idle

  • All of the trucks are equipped with a 2500 watt inverter

  • At this time we do not have any brand new trucks

*** No more TV's or Satelites

Pet Policy - For CD & LP

  • As a last resort they can bring their pet to Orientation

  • Only Dogs (Aggressive bread not allowed)

  • Less than 40lbs

  • Dog MUST be crated at the hotel when Driver is not with them

  • $500 (per dog) Non-Refundable Fee

  • $100 will be deducted from payroll each week until the fee is paid.
