Bay & Bay Pay Range is .60 to .70 CPM Based on Experience and Type of Run

Pre-Qualifications

Minimum Age

  • At least 21 years of age

Minimum Experience (tractor Trailer/OTR)

Must have a minimum of:

  • 6 months Commercial Driving experience in the last 12 months

  • 12 months Commercial Driving experience within last twenty four (24) months

  • 18 months experience within last 36 months

     

    ** Driver MUST have gone to major truck driving school and are driving with a major carrier

    ** Qualified driving experience includes 48 ft. or greater Van, Flatbed/Step deck, or Refrigerated trailer type

     

    •  Drivers with six (6) to eleven (11) months Commercial Driving experience cannot have more than one (1) Motor Vehicle Record / CSA driving violations in the past 6 months to 11 months with a severity score of five (5) or greater and/or OOS violation.

     

    •  Drivers with six (6) to eleven (11) months Commercial Driving experience cannot have more than one (1) preventable accident in the past 1 year.

 

Other Requirements;

  • Must have at least 6 months of paper or e-log experience in the past 3 years

  • Day Cab experience must be driving in 3 or more states with winter driving experience

  • Sleeper Cab experience must be driving in 3 or more states with winter driving experience

  • Tanker - 24 months experience in the past 3 years with a trailer of 40 + feet, driver must be logging and must have winter driving experience

  • WILL NOT ACCEPT Day Cab Local/LTL or Driver with no logging experience only

  • No restrictions on the Driver's license

Moving Violations (max in 3 year period)

  • No more than 4 in the past 3 years

None of the following moving violations in the past 3 year

  • Speeding 15 mph or more 

  • Using a hand held phone or texting while driving

  • Reckless driving  

  • Improper or erratic traffic lane changes resulting in Incident/Accident

  • Following the vehicle ahead too closely

  • Careless driving, which includes negligent/inattentive /without due care violations

  • Speeding in a Construction Zones

  • Driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle without obtaining a CDL

Policy on License suspensions

  • No driving on a suspended license or license suspension for Moving Violations and/or Unsafe Driving in the past 3 years

DOT Recordable Accidents

  • No more than 2 preventable accidents in the past 3 years

  • No DOT recordable preventable or at fault accidents involving a fatality, bodily injuries, etc. within the past 3 years

The following preventable accidents are an automatic DQ

  • Low Bridge accident

  • Rear-end accident

  • Rollover accident

  • Drop Trailer accident

  • U-Turn accident

  • Improper Lane Change accident

  • Jackknife 

  • Side Swipe accident

  • Drop Trailer

Max. Number of Jobs- in the last 3 years

  • No more than 4 jobs in the past year

  • Orientation only doesn’t count as a job

Policy Against Unemployment- even if it is accounted for

  • No policy

Felony Convictions - How old must they be?
Based off the conviction date? What are the "silver bullets"?

DOT Physical Requirements?

  • Will accept previous medical certification with at least 6 months left on the card before expiring

  • If the driver has less than 6 months, left on their Med Cert., they will be required to take a NEW physical, which should be arranged prior to orientation

  • Safety Department will approve prior/during Orientation with a copy of the Long Form Physical

Sign-On Bonus

$10,000 Sign On Bonus for Company Drivers ONLY

  • $500 paid on first check after completion/scanning of 1st load

  • $400/month each month you exceed 10,000 miles

  • $250/month each month you exceed 9,000 – 9,999 miles

  • $100/month each month you exceed 8,000 – 8,999 miles

  • Doesn’t end until the total $10K payout is reached

* Monthly mileage bonus is paid out on each full months miles the following month – example driver starts 12/22/20 – will get $500 paid on first check after completion/scanning of 1st load. He will then get his January bonus paid February base on the miles he runs January.

  • Bay & Bay pays for all permits

  • If they are L/P, they make a weekly payment towards their Qualcomm ($12.50), 2290 ($10.58) and their plate ($43.30)
